There are Chinese herbs that are used to help prevent osteoporosis, weak, strained muscles, aching back and legs, low energy, and related depression. This is a boon for aging, tired, overworked people, others who have damaged their Qi with medicines like steroids or smoking, people who tend to have bone fractures and chronic pain or falling injuries related to Qi weakness. Here is a classic herbal combination and detailed description of how it works.
There are many causes of hip pain. This year’s MRI, like last year, showed acute damage to the left hip and lesser damage to the right hip joint. I had pain and stiffness and difficulty walking, getting up out of a chair, and carrying weight. That is typical for osteoarthritis–pain that is worse with movement and age. The good news is a recent ultrasound showed that, because of the injections I have been getting from my orthopedic physician for a year, I now have more cartilage to protect my hip joints! January, 2010 was my first injection using PRP platelet rich plasma and stem cells from my bone marrow. See my video. Following treatments using only PRP and stem cells from fat were in February, August, and October 2010. Because of the treatments I could walk smoother with less limp and could climb stairs and sneeze without saying OUCH. I tried the experimental treatment to increase my hip joint cartilage, but there is no guarantee. The hip is hard to treat–hard to reach, the joint is very deep and mine has long term acute damage from osteoarthritis.
Here is a medical article from http://www.thescizone.com on how some idiots helped further research: “A group of young drug addicts in California were trying to convert meperidine (Demerol) into heroin and accidentally synthesized MPTP, or methylphenyl tetrahydropyridine a new neurotoxin causing Parkinson’s disease. When they injected MPTP into themselves, in 24 hours they came down with Parkinson’s disease. When they went to a neurologist, he was surprised because most Parkinson’s patients are elderly people. It took 10 years to find out that MPTP actually causes Parkinson’s disease by damaging the mitochondria. (Sometimes described as a battery that makes energy for the body found in DNA) Damaged mitochondria do not make ATP, and when a cell does not make ATP, it cannot repair the damage it suffers. The nerves in the body continuously are bombarded by harmful substances (free radicals) that damage them. ATP has a way of repairing this damage. Fruits and vegetables, by the way, help prevent the harmful effects of free radicals. What I (the doctor interviewed) discovered is that idiopathic Parkinson’s disease, drug-induced Parkinsonism and insecticide-induced Parkinson disease all do work on the same mechanism by damaging the mitochondria and so reducing the level of ATP.” This past February in Plantation, Florida Dr. Alan Lazar gave me a stem cell injection for osteoarthritis using my own stem cells.
